Medical Treatment Benefits

Emergency Illness or Injury

If an Insured Person whilst traveling within the South Africa requires Emergency Medical and Related treatment as a result of Illness or Injury, SA TOURMED will pay for those expenses, up to the maximum amount as stated in the Schedule of Benefits.

Dental Expenses

SA TOURMED will pay for emergency dental treatment, to Sound Natural Teeth, provided by a registered and legally qualified Dentist up the amount specified in the Schedule of Benefits.

Prescription Drugs

SA TOURMED will pay for prescription drugs, prescribed by a Medical Practitioner during an out-patient consultation up to the maximum stated in the Schedule of Benefits and subject to the applicable excess.

Locating of Unavailable Medication

Where possible, SA TOURMED will pay the cost of obtaining necessary medication if not available where the injury and/or illness occurs.

Sending a Doctor In-Situ

Where applicable, SA TOURMED will pay the costs of sending a doctor in-situ in the event of a medical emergency.
